BOAT INFORMATION

The Stevens 47 is a fast, three stateroom cruiser designed in 1981 by Rod Stephens of the legendary Sparkman and Stephens firm. The Stevens 47 is arguably the most well-respected blue water, three stateroom sailboats produced and is highly prized on the brokerage market.

Her soft motion in a seaway, swift 200 nautical mile per day passages, and luxurious accommodations are unrivaled by yachts of a comparable vintage. The performance of these Stevens is legendary.

The hull shape and keel-rudder configuration make them surprisingly stiff and fast boats, well-balanced in any condition with a smooth motion offshore.  “Bimm”  has been owned by the same family since 1984 and is still very original. She has been up and down the coast and to Mexico in the past.

She only has 839 original hrs on her Ford Lehman diesel which runs great. She is due for new standing rigging. Her sails are 12 years old and still in good condition.  A great choice for offshore cruising

Stevens 47’s have a very popular three stateroom layout with accommodations for 8 guests. The interior is a mix of teak veneer and white paneled surfaces. Starting forward is the large V-berth with 2 drawers and hanging locker. Aft and to starboard is the guest head with  shower.

Across from the head is the crew cabin with over and under bunks and a chest of drawers. Next aft is the main salon with a large fold out dining table to port(seats 8). To starboard is a settee with pilot berth outboard.  Continuing aft is the galley on port side and the forward facing nav station opposite. There are passageways to the aft cabin on both sides.

The master head is aft to starboard and has a shower as well. The master cabin has a full size athwartship berth. There are numerous drawers and a hanging locker that make this cabin very cozy, and practical on offshore passages.
