BOAT INFORMATION

RESOLUTE is a rare J/105 that has been sailed recreationally, only raced a few times, and has been carefully maintained.

J/105’s enjoy a very popular one design racing following world wide and especially here in the San Francisco Bay with J/105 Fleet #1. Regular races can see up to 30 boats on the line and the racing is fast, friendly, and frequent.

This boat has some great factory options:

  • Wheel steering featuring an Edson Racing Series 48″ wheel with leather grip and a Ritchie 5″ binnacle compass.
  • Systems Group Package: built in sink in counter of forward head with foot pump, fresh water tank with deck fill, and a 2-burner stove.
  • Ports on aft face of the cabin.
  • Stainless steel grab rails in main cabin.

The boat is very near to stock and has well considered updates completed 2020, including:

  • New mainsail Dyneema halyard
  • New foresail Dyneema halyard
  • New Dyneema jib sheets with Dyneema soft shackles
  • New traveller car and Dyneema control lines
  • New vang blocks and lines
  • New Fortress #16 anchor with unused rode
  • New Harken asymmetrical spinnaker furler
  • Foresail protective sock
  • Chainplates rebedded – no leaks
  • Exhaust mixing elbow replaced 2019.

Plus a few features that are standard on J/105 but rarely seen:

  • Cockpit cushions
  • Cockpit/cabin table
  • Port screens

If you are planning to race, this is a great basis for a wining boat; just needing a race bottom with templating and a suit of race sails.
