BOAT INTRODUCTION

This Meridian 580 is a unique offering as it has had nothing but the best and then some from day one by two very fastidious owners. This 2008 model was purchased new in 2010 where it was then kept under the protection of a full boat house in Canadian waters during the winter months. Canadian Taxes have been paid on vessel which was captain maintained from 2010-2016. Following the rules of the Cummins 5 year Extended  Warranty the engines were serviced every 6 months by Cummins of Canada. 2016 Engine survey by certified Cummins technician showed no issues and zero error codes over the engine’s history.

The second and current owner having purchased the nearly flawless vessel in early 2016 then set about bringing the boat up too his own specifications.  By going through nearly every system on board, performing preventative maintenance and upgrading as he saw fit. This Meridian shows far above any other like her on the market, with over $80,000 worth of upgrades, updates and preventative maintenance since purchase in 2016.

Notoriously, the current owner purchases the very cleanest and best of whichever model yacht he is interested in and then goes through every detail from bilge to bridge.  Once he is satisfied, it is time for another boat. Now is your opportunity to take advantage of his experience and attention to detail in this better than new, turnkey, Meridian 580.

Vessel comes completely ready to go with all coast guard required safety items. Bed linens, towels, dishes, fenders, lines, cleaning supplies, spare parts, manuals and receipts. This provides a great opportunity to acquire a fully outfitted, quality yacht and enjoy the summer without any delays.

Interior

Salon

Entering the salon through a stainless steel and glass sliding door you immediately notice Meridian’s generous use of designer fabrics, upholstery, fine wood cabinetry, LED lighting and granite counter tops throughout to create a soft but modern feel to the space.  A generous expanse of glass brings in light from all sides while providing the most picturesque views. Immediately to starboard in the built in entertainment center with flush mounted 40″ flat panel television linked to a Tracvision KVH satelite and Shakespeare Seawatch TV Antenna. Storage above and below for additional accessories. To port, a granite topped coffee table, custom made sofa with retractable foot rests and hideaway fold out air bed with air pump for inflating and deflating.  A barrel chair and L shaped sofa with storage below. LED lighting fixtures above on dimmers, and window eyebrow valances round out the saloon with A/C and heating controls for 1 of the 5 zone system.

Kitchen/Dinette:

Just before moving forward into the kitchen and dinette you will find a dual zone wine cooler that was added in 2017 to starboard.  Just before the black granite topped dinette table with L shaped settee. There is additional storage below the settee as well as the dinette table. The dinette and galley flooring is a wood laminate making for easy cleaning and a very lavish appearance. To port is the expansive galley with large granite counter tops providing plenty of counter work space.  A lazy Susan and numerous drawer and cabinet space provide plenty of food storage for extended cruising. A hidden china cabinet below the gallery counter top keeps precious table ware safe. Trash compactor by G.E. allows for extended trips between disposal needs. Double under stainless steel sink with pull out spray faucet makes for easy clean up. A Kenyon 4 burner cook top, G.E. oven and microwave make preparing any level of meal a breeze.  Additional A/C heat control keeps the chef happy on any day.

Pilothouse:

Up three steps to the pilothouse helm you come to an electrically adjustable Devine Series captain’s chair with foot rest.  To port an L shaped settee with table and storage below. Yacht Controller:

I would like to talk a bit more about this controller as it does more than operate thrusters.   This wireless yacht controller is able to control the forward and reverse functions of both main engines as well as control the bow and stern thrusters.  This makes a considerable difference to be able to control main engine/transmission input from any where on the yacht when in tight, tricky conditions or even from the dock if captaining alone.  The current owner comes into and out of mooring on either the bow or transom of the yacht with use of this remote. Never at an actual helm station.

Third Stateroom:

Traveling down a curved stair case you come to the Axxis Washer and Axxis Dryer units located next to the third stateroom.  This stateroom features large transverse situated bunks over a large double door cedar lined hanging closet and two pullout style drawers. An opening hull side port with screen allows natural ventilation and light, along with the overhead LED lighting.

VIP Stateroom:

Naturally bright and airy, the forward VIP stateroom features a very comfortable center line queen bed for you guests with easy access from three sides.  A pair of large overhead hatches with translucent covers floods the space with daylight. Two cedar lined hanging closets and large deep pullout drawers below the berth provide great storage for guests wardrobe as well as linens. Flat panel television, separate stereo, speakers, and A/C heat controller provide additional comfort and entertainment.  Over head LED lighting continue into the VIP with two LED reading lamps for those late night novels. The forward head can be accessed directly from the VIP stateroom preserving guests privacy. Forward head features large enclosed shower stall with opening hull side port for great ventilation and light. Fresh water vacuflush head and black granite wash basin with a stone material flooring adorn this VIP throne.

Master Stateroom:

Taking advantage of the 17’4″ beam the master suite encompasses the full width of the Meridian 580 while located amidships providing quiet and comfortable nights at anchor. Large queen walk around bed with drawer storage below on three sides. Two hull sides ports with screens surround the master birth with natural light and ventilation. Night stands with lamps and drawer storage adorn both sides of the the berth. His and hers cedar lined hanging closets as well as generous drawer space surround the master stateroom. Flat panel television, Bose speakers and A/C heat control provide a level of comfort you would expect on-board a vessel of this stature. A vanity sink with mirrored surround leads into a full en-suite head with vacuflush fresh water toilet, enclosed shower bath tub combo and additional storage locker.  A Sentry safe is also found within the master stateroom.

Engine Room:

A molded in stair way leads down from the cockpit to a very voluminous and well lit engine room.  With enough head room to be considered a semi stand up engine compartment. No crawling on hands and knees necessary for routine inspections or serious repair work.  Easy access around both Cummins QSM11 engines as well as all pumps, filters and electrical equipment make this boat very easily cared for. Translating to less money spent with mechanics and more time on the water.  Exceptional amount of storage space for extra equipment and spare parts. Underwater exhaust for a quiet and comfortable ride.
